We welcome this point and believe in necessity of deepening the meaning in the minds of the people because we take this meaning as an academic and ethical tending that following the point that man solves his problems and differences with other beings, he forgets about the aftermaths of these differences and comes to a unified stance about the challenges which face the nation.
The process of deepening necessitates all that has to be done to increase the tending towards understanding, sympathy and solving the differences.
This end realizes only when firstly the clerics and thinkers completely understand this end and get used to that and secondly maintain the date and the aftermaths of that on the historical and civilization move of the nation and thirdly inform the masses of the people about that and about turn all the dreams into reality.
In order to perform some joint sociological plans in research and sociological arena two points are to be stressed:
a- Utilizing religious, sociological and even political motivations as the necessities of moving towards proximity in theory and maintaining unity in practice and resuming the situations when close cooperation between clerics on the commonalities- which are in a big range – happens.
b- Recognizing the hurdles and the problems on the way of realization of this end.
The first point- no matter how important it is- is not going to be maintained and of course it is possible to come to unity through Qur'anic ways, direct announcements and callings and stressing the spirit of rational dialogue to others and reminding the unity of the enemies, contrary to the differences they have with each other, when it comes to face the Muslim nation and the positive outcomes of unity and the negative outcomes of sedition, which is in great number.
However what is important to us, the second point is to understand the problems on the way of proximity.
The challenges on the way of proximity:
These challenges are quite tough and some are raised by the enemies and some are grown out of the Muslim nation itself and some of the most important comprise:
a- External element: It is quite clear that the enemies of the Muslim nation spare no effort in bringing difference and stand against whatever that brings unity to the nation.
We have previously witnessed that the arrogant powers of the west, during its reign over the Muslim world in the first half of twentieth century, destroyed the last powerful Islamic nation (the Ottomans) and followed the policies with three main aims in mind: Keeping the Muslim nation underdeveloped in scientific, economical, cultural and educational fields.
Spreading Western Laicism and conquering that over Islamic spirit and Islamic World and provoking national and racial tending which failed very soon making a contemporary writer to call it temporary victory of Laicism (1920-1970).
3- Tearing the Muslim world into scattered countries and nations and letting religious, geographical, national and even historical outcries in a way that each part stresses the pre-Islamic or its own particular post-Islamic history and even we witnessed that it encouraged some Asian nations to call and adore tyrannical powers like "Tamerlane" a national hero and to forget his crimes against the Islamic nation and all this was due to its fright of the Islamic unity stressed so much by western thinkers and writers and based on that western author, Shireen Hunter in the preface of her book " The Future of Islam and West: Clash of Civilization of Peaceful Coexistence?" says," The novel by John Bhushan wrote – when he was an intelligent officer in British army- was based on the realization of an Islamic Revolution which –if realized- could change the whole path of the first world war in favor of the Allied."
Bhushan in his book titled "The Green Mantle" wrote," Islam is an aggressive and warmonger belief, since a Muslim cleric stands in the altar with a Qur'an in one hand and a sword in the other. Now let's assume that there is the hope of salvation and this hope of salvation tempts the undereducated farmers. You know what happens then? Soon the doors of the hell open to the world. I have the report that people of all walks of life send messages to us saying that the east is awaiting just a divine hint."
One of the historical writers describes the sectarian wars with the rulers of the time," There is no era that has not witnessed violence between Shia and Sunni in other Islamic Arabic areas. Turks accepted the responsibility to oppress the Shia in 1249 A.H. with huge number of victims in Baghdad.
Here I would like to quote Earnest Bucker, author the book" The Crusade" where he says," The reason for victory of the Christians in the Crusade was not merely the great number of the soldiers or the Byzantium government's aiding them but it was mainly based on the difference of the Muslims and their political and religious difference."
The author continues with the point that his book gives the picture of the cooperation of the Christians and the arrogant powers and shows that the animosity between east and west has a long background and that the west has always tried to achieve its aims in the east through arrogant methods.
The fate of Latin Christianity in east was fixed when in 1130 BC a new power rose. The writer in chapter thirteen talks about the proposals of Pierre Dubois in his famous dissertation "The Return of the Holy Land" some of these proposals include formation of international navy to surround Egypt, performing a kind of coalition with Mongols and unifying big religious sects.
Excommunicating this phenomenon is one of the most important hurdles on the way of proximity. There should not be any doubt in the determination of the participants in a dialogue hence it would not help a calm atmosphere.
Also reminding previous sacrileges and disrespects could be another hurdle on the way of proximity and finally differences in the way of induction and reasoning stand on the way of coming to understanding hence we have to keep the following points in mind: 1- Emptying mind from presuppositions and prior to the start of the dialogue.
2- Agreeing on a unified method for deduction.
3- Giving a clear definition for the topic of the dialogue.
Therefore all these hurdles have to be dealt so that the desired proximity can be achieved.
